American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a short-term acute care facility in Oregon, requiring Epic proficiency and dual competency in telemetry and med/surg nursing.

Details

• Work setting is a 60-bed short-term acute care hospital designated as a Level IV Trauma Center
• Unit serves a combined Med/Surg and Telemetry patient population
• Patient ratios are 1:4 for telemetry patients and 1:5 for med/surg patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating between units and across facilities within the state is required
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• No block scheduling
• No parking fee

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Dual competency and training in both telemetry and med/surg required
• Epic EMR proficiency is a hard requirement — no exceptions
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of total employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting required for consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are strongly discouraged from applying for this position
• Former permanent staff of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
• Minimal to no RTO is expected; any time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of submission, as post-offer requests may be denied
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
