American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position at a Level I Trauma, Academic Medical Center requiring the ability to scrub cardiac surgery independently and circulate, with on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Work in the CVOR of a large, short-term acute care hospital with 1,567 staffed beds
• Cardiovascular surgical patient population with an average 1:2 patient ratio
• Schedule consists of 2x12-hour and 2x8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call is required: 2 calls per M-F week (either 7:00 PM–11:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM), plus 1 day per week available to stay late
• Weekend call requirement of two 24-hour calls per schedule
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Charting performed in Epic
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Parking is available on-site at a cost of $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required prior to start date (pending license accepted for submission)
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Must be able to scrub cardiac surgery independently and circulate
• Prior experience at a large Trauma Center required
• No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license
• Flu vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination required (religious and medical exemptions considered)

• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• RTO of up to 7 days can be auto-approved; RTO exceeding 7 days requires additional facility approval
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or other emergency response activities as required by the facility
