Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Sioux City, IA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a minimum of one completed travel contract.

Details

• General medical/surgical floor setting within a hospital environment
• Primary patient population includes post-operative patients requiring overnight stays
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within the same discipline across local campuses
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract required
• Must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility
• 1 supervisory reference required
• Driver's license required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required
• Must not have been employed by UnityPoint Health within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to post-operative and general med/surg patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position, as at least one prior travel contract is required
• Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Local candidates are accepted at this facility
