American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 15-bed Critical Care Unit (CVICU) at a hospital setting in Nashville, TN
• Patient population includes cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, MI, CHF, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, post-cardiopulmonary arrest, and post-ventricular assist device placement
• Patients served range in age from adolescent through late adult (14–60+)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
• Direct patient care team consists of RNs and Patient Care Techs
• Day shift: 06:45–19:15
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides ICU-level care to some of the highest-acuity patients in the Nashville area, including those requiring ECMO
• Primary service lines include cardiothoracic surgery (open heart recovery) and neuro/neurosurgery
• Receives patients from across Tennessee and beyond
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
