American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) Tech for a 13-week travel contract in Washington, DC, requiring cardiac and vascular surgical scrubbing experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
• Primarily cardiac and vascular surgical cases, with potential float to general surgery when no cardiac cases are scheduled
• Schedule is 4x12-hour shifts per week; the majority of shifts are days (6:30 AM–7:00 PM), with up to two weeks of evening shifts (11:00 AM–11:30 PM) within a six-week schedule
• On-call requirement of 6 calls per six-week schedule
• One weekend shift and/or one holiday required per six-week schedule
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a local rate

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR/surgical tech experience required
• Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique, case cart management, and surgical scrubbing required
• Hands-on experience with cardiac and vascular surgical cases required
• Experience with da Vinci Xi Robotic system preferred
• Experience with crash cart preferred
• Surgical experience across multiple specialties preferred, including General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Joints, Urology, Endo, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Neuro/Spine, Bariatrics, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, and Transplant
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
