American Traveler is hiring an RN - Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator for a 13-week travel assignment in Boston, MA, requiring at least 5 years of trauma/emergency nursing experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based position focused on trauma performance improvement and patient safety (PIPS) program coordination
• Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends and no major holidays
• 8-hour shifts with start times of either 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; hours may shift up to 2 hours in either direction
• No on-call requirement
• 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience in trauma and emergency services
• Experience in a Level 3 certified trauma center or higher required
• Performance improvement (PI) experience required
• At least 2 years of experience in trauma program coordination, quality/performance improvement, or data analysis preferred
• Proficiency in trauma registry software preferred; knowledge of ACS trauma standards strongly preferred
• TCRN certification and TNCC Instructor status preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a hospital environment and participate in clinical site reviews
• Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (Test A or B) prior to consideration; the test may only be taken twice
• Two professional references required for consideration — at least one must be from a manager-level or above (title must reflect "Manager"); one evaluation must be within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Coordinates the hospital's Trauma PIPS program in alignment with state, regional, and national standards including ACS trauma guidelines
• Collaborates with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager to evaluate trauma team effectiveness
• Facilitates PI data collection, analysis, trending, and benchmarking, and ensures compliance with trauma standards
• Develops and implements corrective action and performance improvement plans, and educates the care team on PI processes
• Participates in trauma center surveys, accreditation reviews, and performance improvement committees
• Serves as a liaison with external trauma agencies including state trauma systems and regional trauma networks
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
