American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a TN or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of recent ED experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with a Level I Trauma Center designation
• Emergency Department (ER) unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend block schedule may be considered and must be discussed during the interview process
• Large hospital experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent, continuous ED/ER experience required (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Willingness to work 48-hour weeks when required
• ADN minimum education requirement for this position
• Driver's License required for consideration
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted; at least one completed prior travel assignment is required (exception may be considered for candidates with 5+ years of ED experience)
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
• If any certifications are set to expire during the assignment, a plan for renewal must be documented
• Holiday coverage: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
• Vaccination documentation must be provided
