American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech (CVOR) for a Cardiovascular OR position at a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma academic medical center in Minnesota, requiring NBSTSA or NCCT certification and a broad range of cardiac and vascular case experience.

Details

• Work in a CVOR setting within a 672-bed, short-term acute care Magnet/Teaching hospital with Level III Trauma designation
• Suite includes 6 total ORs: 4 standard ORs, 1 Hybrid room, and 1 PV room
• Required cardiac cases include: CABG (on/off pump), AVR, MVRR, TVRR, aortic aneurysm/dissection, total artificial heart, heart transplant, LVAD implantation, minimally invasive valve replacement, and transcatheter mitral/aortic/tricuspid valve replacement
• Required vascular cases include: endovascular and open vascular procedures such as AAA repair, thoracic and thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair (including fenestrated grafts), endarterectomy, peripheral artery disease bypass, amputation, and ECMO decannulation and repositioning
• Preferred case experience includes: general, endo/laparoscopic, vascular, thoracic, bariatrics, and transplant
• Shift options include days (6:45–15:15) and evenings (14:45–23:15), working 5x8-hour shifts
• On-call required up to 2 weekends per month and up to 2 weekdays per week, with holiday call as needed
• Charting via Excellian/Epic
• Facility provides scrubs for this position
• No floating within the hospital or to sister facilities required

Requirements

• Active MN Surgical Tech certification required; pending licensure is not accepted
• National certification required: NBSTSA (Tech in Surgery – Certified, CST) or NCCT (Tech in Surgery, TS-C)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR scrub tech experience required
• Required CVOR case experience: AAA repair, atrial septal defect repair, carotid endarterectomy, CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, femoral-popliteal bypass graft, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, TAVR, VAD, and ECMO
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Nursys or Allied license verification required for consideration

• RTO requests should not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract
