Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU Float position in Liberty, MO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and the ability to float to a Stepdown/PCU unit.

Details

• 13-week contract in a hospital ICU setting
• Nights shift, 12 hours, 1900-0700
• Floats to the Stepdown/PCU unit as needed
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday coverage required for 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Subject to shift pushback or cancellation based on census and staffing levels
• EMR: Altera Sunrise (formerly Allscripts), noted to be very similar to Cerner — prior experience not required

Requirements

• Active RN license — Missouri or Compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience
• New graduates will not be considered
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• ICU experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center preferred
• Experience with cardiothoracic surgery (CTS) and neuro patients preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Orientation spans approximately 5 days: 2-day system orientation, followed by facility and clinical orientation, and computer training before being released to the unit
• Nicotine-free facility
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
