Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU position in Yakima, WA, requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience including at least 1 year of high-acuity pediatric experience.

Details

• 13-week contract in the 3N NICU unit of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital
• Patient population includes neonatal and pediatric patients ages 0–18, as well as adult echo support (CAD, hypertension, post-TAVR, TEE) during downtime
• Average of 4–6 scans per shift depending on the daily schedule
• Monday–Friday, 12-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• No weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to the adult echo team during downtime and to an outpatient clinic located across the street as needed
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Philips equipment used at the hospital; Cannon ultrasound unit used in the outpatient clinic (preferred experience)

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARDMS (RCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required; ARDMS (RCS-PE) preferred
• Minimum 4 years of total experience with at least 1 year in a high-acuity, fast-paced pediatric setting
• Ability to perform high-quality scans across a wide range of common echo patients
• Strong clinical judgment, quick-thinking, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
• One supervisor-level reference required for consideration; a second reference will be required prior to start

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing high-quality cardiac imaging for pediatric patients and providing support to the adult echo team as needed
• Must be flexible and self-motivated, with the ability to float between clinic and hospital settings
• Holiday coverage is expected for 1–2 holidays per contract
• Any scrub color is acceptable
