American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, including pediatric experience, with on-call responsibilities and weekend availability.

Details

• Hospital OR setting serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• 12-hour day shifts: Fridays 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, Saturdays and Sundays 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
• On-call required; approximately one backup call per month — details to be discussed during manager interview
• EMR: Epic
• Floating required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses located within 15–20 minutes of each other
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or a compact RN license recognized in Florida, required prior to start
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Pediatric (PEDS) OR experience required
• Accredited nursing degree required, OR a minimum of 5 years of RN experience in lieu of degree accreditation
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address — candidates must not own or be associated with any property within the 50-mile radius
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Nurses begin orientation on a Friday; remote orientation is completed prior to an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID issuance — candidates must be in the area on that Friday
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration and will not be approved after an offer is extended
• Two professional references required: one within the past year and one additional reference
