American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Psychiatric for a night shift travel assignment at a behavioral health hospital in Englewood, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and strong de-escalation skills.

Details

• Inpatient behavioral health hospital setting with 96 beds across 4 units (20–26 patients per unit)
• Units served include Adolescent (ages 13–17), Adult Mental Wellness, Adult Acute, and Adult Dual Diagnosis/SUD
• Patient ratios are approximately 1:12 on Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, and Adult Acute units, and 1:10 on the Adult Dual Diagnosis/SUD unit
• Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (1900–0730)
• 36 hours per week, with weekend hours included in the standard schedule
• On-call responsibilities include being contacted via call or text when a shift becomes vacant or a staff member calls out
• Floating to all 4 units is required as needed
• EHR system: HCS

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum — AHA-issued)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong de-escalation skills are required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidate must not reside within 60 miles of the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

Additional Information

• This is an acute psychiatric stabilization hospital with an average patient length of stay of 7–10 days
• Experience in behavioral health, medical/dual diagnosis, CIWA, and COWS assessments is preferred
• Navy scrubs are required
• 13-week travel contract
