American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech (CVOR) for a 13-week travel contract requiring NBSTSA certification and a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience.

Details

• Hospital-based CVOR setting
• Day shift schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• Every third weekend rotation required
• Specialized cardiac surgical caseload

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• NBSTSA (CST) certification required
• Formal technical diploma from an accredited CST training program required — on-the-job training credentials are not accepted; a high school diploma, unrelated college diploma, or CST certification alone will not fulfill this requirement
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR scrub experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac surgical cases and aseptic technique required
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing cardiac cases, applying universal protocol (timeout), and adhering to radiation, laser, and fire safety standards
• Proper specimen labeling, handling, sterilization, and disinfection practices are expected
• Candidates who cannot produce a technical diploma from their CST training program upon verification will be subject to cancellation
