American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery / Antepartum position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rockford, IL, requiring high-risk L&D experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital setting
• Modalities covered include Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, Lactation, and Postpartum
• High-risk labor & delivery patient population
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Illinois (IL) RN license currently in hand
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• High-risk labor & delivery experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members using the nursing process to deliver patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, policies, and applicable state law
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans inclusive of patient and family instruction
• Participate in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
