American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a MA RN license, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience on a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Details

• Hospital Emergency Department setting
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No monitor techs on unit — must be able to independently read cardiac strips
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating to a sister facility may be required as needed
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythm strips

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to emergency department patients across a range of acuity levels
• Biweekly orientation schedule — candidates should be available to start on an orientation date
• A day-one pass/fail skills test is administered upon arrival at orientation with only one attempt allowed
• Relias testing is required during onboarding as preparation for the on-site test — candidates have 2 attempts to pass; failure to pass may result in cancellation
• COVID vaccine and booster required; flu vaccine required during flu season; medical exemptions are accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
