American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a hospital in Weatherford, TX, requiring at least 1 year of endoscopy experience and the ability to both circulate and scrub endo cases.

Details

• Located on the first floor of a main hospital building in Weatherford, TX
• Endoscopy unit with 2 endo suites and a staff of 5
• Day shift RNs are expected to both circulate and scrub endoscopy cases
• Common procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP
• Equipment used includes Olympus scopes and towers and Medivator scope processing systems
• EMR: Meditech and Provation
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (5x8 shifts)
• On-call requirement includes 1 weekend per month and 1–2 weeknights per week
• Floating to pre-op/PACU may be required based on experience
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent endoscopy nursing experience required
• Ability to both circulate and scrub endoscopy cases
• Shift flexibility is required
• OR experience preferred
• Pre-op/PACU experience preferred
• Experience with scope processing preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Case volumes vary significantly day-to-day, ranging from approximately 10 to 22 cases per shift — flexibility with shift demands is essential
• Candidates with experience in other procedural areas (OR, pre-op, PACU) are strongly encouraged to apply, as this cross-training helps ensure consistent hours
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates will be considered
• Night shift coverage is on-call only
