American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room position requiring an active MI RN license, cardiac scrub experience, and on-call availability.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital surgical/cardiovascular OR department
• Cardiac scrub experience is central to this role
• Shift options include five 8-hour, four 10-hour, or three 12-hour shifts, all with a 6am start time
• 48 hours of on-call required per 6-week schedule period, with availability required one weekend per month
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MI RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA-issued) required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR/cardiac scrub nursing experience required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred
• COVID vaccination is mandatory for employment

Additional Information

• Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in resolving variances from patient care goals
• Online orientation modules must be completed onsite prior to the start date, typically one week before
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to assignment start; requests made after an offer is extended will require manager approval once the assignment begins
