American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech (CVOR ST) for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of CVOR scrubbing experience and a willingness to take on-call shifts.

Details

• Work in the CVOR and main OR of a hospital setting
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours per week
• Scheduled for a minimum of 21 CVOR call shifts per 9-week schedule period
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• On-call responsibilities are required during regularly scheduled shifts
• Epic used for charting

Requirements

• CO RN license or Compact license currently active and in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must not expire prior to start date)
• Graduation from a formal, accredited Surgical Technologist program required (US military training may substitute)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR scrubbing experience required
• English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• 2 references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs scrub duties, maintains sterile technique, and provides appropriate instrumentation, sutures, and supplies during surgical cases
• Assembles and organizes case carts according to surgeon preference lists and assists with timely room turnover
• Conducts sponge, needle, blade, and instrument counts per established policy
• Handles and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis and manages contaminated materials and sharps per policy
• CVOR experience should be clearly highlighted in your resume or profile
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Nights and/or weekends may be required
