American Traveler is hiring an experienced Hospice RN for an on-call, home-based hospice role serving a geriatric end-of-life patient population on a 7-on/7-off schedule within a 60-mile territory.

Details

• Home-based hospice setting covering a territory of up to 60 miles from the hub/office
• Geriatric patient population requiring end-of-life and palliative care
• Typical caseload of 5–7 patients per day (confirm during interview)
• Schedule is a 7-on/7-off rotation: on-call coverage for 24 hours during the 7-on week, followed by 7 days off
• Shift hours are days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8)
• HCHB (HomeCare HomeBase) EMR experience is required
• No additional on-call requirements beyond the scheduled rotation

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent hospice RN experience required
• HCHB EMR proficiency required
• Ability to travel within a 60-mile radius of the hub/office

Additional Information

• Provide end-of-life nursing care to geriatric hospice patients across an assigned territory
• Timely documentation and communication are essential responsibilities of this role
• Flexibility with territory coverage is expected
• An iPad is provided for use in the field; mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
• Scrubs in any color are required; jeans are not permitted
• Local candidates are accepted and are eligible for the travel pay rate
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
