American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Wilson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 26-bed Emergency Department at a 294-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital
• Patient population includes all ages (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
• Common diagnoses and treatments include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity
• Equipment includes GE monitors and standard ED equipment
• EMR is Meditech; experience preferred
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to like assignments required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years of ED experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule available
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; branded facility scrubs are not permitted
• The facility is located in Wilson, NC, approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh and within 2 hours of the NC coast
