Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring MD or Compact RN licensure, ACLS, PALS, and on-call availability, serving a pediatric through adult patient population.

Details

• Hospital-based PACU setting
• Patient population spans pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Shift hours vary between 8- and 10-hour days, scheduled anytime within the unit's operating hours of 07:30–20:30
• Day shifts scheduled as either 07:00–15:30 or 07:00–17:30
• Every other weekend required
• On-call is required; call shifts currently fall on Fridays (19:00–07:00), Saturdays (07:00–07:00), Sundays (07:00–07:30), and holidays (07:00–19:00), with nurses taking approximately two call shifts per four-week period
• Floating required within the specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within scope
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• PACU nursing experience required
• Experience with pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations required

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a broad patient age range, from pediatrics through adults
• Time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration
