American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and rotating mid/evening shifts with every other weekend availability.

Details

• Fast-paced, high-volume general emergency department serving a combined adult and pediatric population
• Patient population ranges from pediatric through geriatric with a wide range of complex, multi-diagnosis presentations
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
• Facility is STEMI Certified and Stroke Certified
• Rotating mid and evening shifts: 11:00–23:30 or 15:00–03:30
• Schedules of 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week are accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating required within the ED specialty and to sister system emergency departments as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department RN experience required
• Experience with both adult and pediatric emergency patient populations preferred given the combined unit setting

• CPI certification will be completed on-site during onboarding
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply with a strong ED experience and skillset

• Provide nursing care across a broad acuity spectrum including STEMI, stroke, and complex multi-diagnosis cases
