Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract at an acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications and at least one year of relevant experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a 10-bed ICU unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a
• Patient ratio is 1:2 with occasional 1:3
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required: minimum 2 shifts per 6-week period
• May float to other units within the Midlands Division as needed
• Charting system: Epic
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of current, relevant ICU experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Work history documentation covering the past 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Royal blue scrubs required
• Block scheduling may be requested prior to the assignment start but is not guaranteed
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of profile consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Local candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered on a case-by-case basis

• During hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
