American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with on-call and float responsibilities across multiple Endoscopy Centers.

Details

• Hospital-based Endoscopy unit with floating required to other Endoscopy Centers within the same health system (Annie Penn Hospital & Mebane Surgery Center)
• Procedures include screening and therapeutic colonoscopy, upper endoscopy with BRAVO, ERCP, EUS, and capsule endoscopy
• Portable/bedside travel cases, pre/post procedure, and inpatient endoscopy experience required
• EMR: Epic (required)
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Occasional weekend shifts occur only when on call, approximately every 6–7 weekends; weekend call spans 48 hours (Saturday 7 AM–Monday 7 AM)
• Weeknight call is required approximately 1 night every 2 weeks, covering 5:00 PM–7:00 AM (14 hours)
• On-call shifts are in addition to the scheduled 40-hour workweek
• Holiday coverage is possible; when a hospital-observed holiday falls during the assignment, the unit is closed and covered by the call team for 24-hour coverage

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Endoscopy experience required, including portable/bedside travel cases, pre/post procedure care, and inpatient endoscopy
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during compliance, regardless of specialty; two attempts are allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
