Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step-Down Unit position in New Orleans, LA, requiring ACLS certification and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Step-down unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pre-liver transplant, acute/chronic liver failure, end-stage renal disease, DKA, sepsis, acute/chronic respiratory failure, and heart failure
• Specialized procedures include hospice care and immunoglobulin therapy
• Uses Epic EMR (experience required)
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:45 AM)
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both must be AHA-issued)
• Step-down or comparable acute care nursing experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Care for a complex patient population including those with liver failure, renal disease, and sepsis
• Immunoglobulin therapy and hospice care are among the procedures performed on this unit
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
