American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel contract requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes ENT surgery (trachs, laryngectomy), plastics (I&D, Wound VACs), general surgery (bowel obstructions, mastectomy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, GSW, overdose, hernia repair), surgical oncology (pancreatitis), and colorectal surgery (colectomy, colostomy)
• Specialized equipment includes Wound VACs, PCAs, PICC lines, drains, and ostomy management
• Medication dispensing via Omnicell
• Epic EMR experience required (minimum 1 year)
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units or campuses within the health system may be required based on census needs; float assignments will only include units and tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated

Requirements

• Active RN license for South Carolina (SC state or compact license) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this night shift position
• Valid driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration

• Responsibilities include providing nursing care to a diverse surgical and medical patient population across multiple subspecialties
