American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in Georgia, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Unit includes 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, 2 ORs, and a 6-bed OB emergency room
• Delivers 150–200 births per month, with patient population ranging from routine OB to high-risk OB, including antepartum patients
• Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
• Fetal heart monitoring (FHM) system: OB Trace
• EMR: MEDITECH (experience required)
• 12-hour day shifts, starting at 6:45 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Floating required to postpartum as needed
• Neonatology and OB hospitalist on-site 24/7
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
• OR techs scrub for C-sections, attend vaginal deliveries, and handle all stocking

Requirements

• Active GA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) at Intermediate level or above
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 72 miles from the facility to be eligible; the facility enforces a strict 72-mile radius rule
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Orientation consists of 2 shifts (approximately 16 hours)
• Hospital scrubs are provided
• Unit performs C-sections, cerclages, and tubals on-site
• Baby-friendly hospital with in-house lactation support
• Any time-off requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
