American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 4+ years of Level IV NICU experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Temple, TX.

Details

• Level IV NICU setting
• Night shift schedule: 1830–0700, 3x12-hour shifts
• Monday through Sunday availability required
• Pediatric/neonatal patient population including preemie and micro-preemie patients
• Advanced ventilation modalities including HFOV, HFJV, and iNO are performed in this unit

Requirements

• Active TX RCP license required if applicable
• Current certifications required: RRT, BLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-NPS (Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist)
• Minimum 4 years of Level IV NICU experience required
• Experience with HFOV, HFJV, iNO, and preemie/micro-preemie delivery required
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills in a rapidly changing environment
• General computer skills including electronic medical documentation
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Date of birth (DOB) and SSN required for consideration
• Flu shot required — no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Administer and direct respiratory care services including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, inhaled medications, airway clearance, and invasive/non-invasive ventilation
• Review physician orders and diagnostic results to implement appropriate evidence-based therapies and approved protocols
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers accepted
• Child-friendly scrub colors required
