American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of EP Lab experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a top-ranked heart and vascular teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in an electrophysiology lab at a 748-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital ranked among the top 50 heart and vascular centers in the country
• Procedures include cardiac electrophysiology studies, head-up-tilt tests, cardioversions, internal loop recorder implants, atrial flutter/fibrillation ablations, SVT ablations, VT ablations, device implants (Watchman, Aveir, pacemaker, defibrillator), device explants, and lead extractions
• Average daily caseload of 18 cases
• Charting in Cerner and GE Cardiolab; Pyxis used for medications
• Schedule is either 3x12 or 4x10 hour day shifts starting at 7:00 AM, with 2 days of late case coverage per week until 5:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend requirement
• No floating requirement
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility should inquire about local rate eligibility

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of EP Lab clinical experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CCI RCES or RCIS
• Preferred certifications: ARRT and Fluoroscopy Permit
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Experience with EP lab hemodynamic monitoring and ablations required
• EKG experience required, including inpatient and outpatient settings, obtaining vitals, and sinus node rhythm interpretation
• Required equipment experience: Philips or Siemens X-ray machine and GE Micropacer
• Preferred equipment experience: 3D mapping systems (Biosense Webster, Abbott/ESI), GE/Abbott EP4, ViewMate ultrasound, Siemens or GE ultrasound, and laser lead machine
• Preferred skills: groin closure devices, peripheral procedures, and laser lead extraction
• Preferred work setting experience: trauma or children's hospital
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are considered for this position provided they meet the EP Lab experience requirement
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• Any time-off or scheduling requests must be disclosed upfront
• Scrubs are provided
