American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Family Medicine Clinic position in Milwaukee, WI, with at least 2 years of experience and a focus on phone triage and patient care management.

Details

• Outpatient family medicine clinic setting with 20 total exam rooms
• Patient population spans birth through geriatrics, including some OB patients; case mix includes approximately 35% well visits, 15% acutely ill, and a high volume of chronic disease management
• Average daily patient volume of 60–80 patients
• Primary duties include phone triage, in-basket management, and medication refills
• May assist with rooming patients and obtaining vitals on occasion
• Administering adult vaccinations is a plus; IV placement required on rare occasions for patients needing IV fluids
• RNs are expected to respond to any in-clinic emergency situations
• EMR: Epic (preferred but not required for a strong RN candidate)
• Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday 0830–1700, Friday 0730–1600 (40 hrs/week)
• No weekend rotation, on-call, or holiday requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in clinic or inpatient/acute care settings
• Most recent experience within the last year
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN collected within the past year
• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Middle name or initial required for consideration

Additional Information

• Supported by a team including MAs (phlebotomy), Patient Care Reps, a Lead Nurse, Site Supervisor, PT, X-ray, and a Diabetic Educator on-site Tuesdays
• Orientation is approximately one week working alongside the Lead RN, with additional time available if needed
• RTO of up to 7 days is generally approved; days surrounding holidays require manager approval
• Any scrub color is acceptable
