American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission Accredited community hospital in Lake Havasu City, AZ, working night shifts with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.

Details

• Blended ICU/CVICU setting in a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• 16-bed ICU unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Common diagnoses and treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, CABG, valve repair/replacement, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, A-fib RVR, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Baxter infusion pumps used on unit
• EMR: Medhost
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating may be required to the Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and ED holding for admitted patients, on an as-needed basis
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

• Travelers are permitted one call-out per contract; a second call-out requires documentation and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — approximately 2.5 hours from Las Vegas, 3.25 hours from Phoenix, 3.5 hours from the Grand Canyon, and 5 hours from Los Angeles or San Diego
