American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level III NICU position in Joplin, MO, requiring 3+ years of NICU experience and working night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• 16-bed Level III NICU in a hospital setting
• Neonatal patient population, including high-risk deliveries
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:2 or 1:3
• Night shifts, 3x12s (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Float requirements to mother/baby and pediatrics as needed by the facility
• Call required as needed by the facility
• Primary equipment is GE
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA only) and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level III or higher NICU
• Experience with bubble CPAP, high flow oxygen, and high-risk deliveries required
• STABLE certification required
• US Social Security Number required
• No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• NIHSS certification is preferred
• Black scrubs required; no t-shirts with writing other than facility-approved attire
• Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1, with client-approved exceptions
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential for this role
• Familiarity with Level III NICU concepts, practices, and procedures is expected
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or relocation outside the radius is required
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled
