Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU Float position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and a TX or compact RN license for night shift coverage.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with floating responsibilities to overflow areas and the ED (for holds)
• Night shift schedule alternating between 3x12-hour and 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule — candidates must be agreeable to this arrangement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or progressive care nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Two supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid all substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products, even after pre-employment clearance
• Start within 3–5 weeks is preferred
