American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 1 year of experience and active GA or compact licensure, working night shifts in an adult to geriatric care setting.

Details

• General Med/Surg unit serving an adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• EMR: Epic; medication dispensing via Pyxis; communication framework: SBAR
• 14-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required, must be active at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• No scheduling requests — the listed shift is firm and no alternate shifts will be accommodated

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO allowed; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for approval
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
• Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
