American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH certifications.

Details

• Works on a 23-bed Medical/Surgical Orthopedics unit (Floor A6)
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (ages 13 and older)
• Common diagnoses and treatments include post-operative joints, post-op bariatric, post-operative GI, and trauma patients
• Patient ratios of 4–6:1
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• ASN degree minimum required
• Required certifications (AHA): ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale — all must be obtained prior to start
• Med/Surg and/or orthopedics experience required
• Strong assessment, teamwork, and customer service skills required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Level III Trauma Center facility
• Provides care to the Gallatin, Hendersonville, and surrounding Tennessee communities
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• All clinical staff working in Tennessee must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; T-shirts must display the hospital logo; acrylic nails are not permitted
