American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, prior travel assignment, and the ability to pass an EKG Rhythm Interpretation exam.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
• Telemetry monitoring is a core component of this role
• This facility performs gender affirmation surgery; comfort with this patient population is required (prior experience preferred but not required)
• Night shift: 18:30–07:00 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays, plus additional holidays during the contract
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• Telemetry skills required
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
• Flu vaccine required
• May come into contact with COVID-positive patients
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
