American Traveler is hiring a LPN for a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Continuing Care position requiring 18+ months of SNF/LTC rehab experience and active LPN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 90-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Albemarle, NC
• Serves short-term and long-term patients recovering from illness, injury, or accident — including stroke, amputation, neurological disorders, and post-joint replacement; no memory care
• LPN patient ratio is 1:18–20 on days and 1:26 on nights
• Scheduled for 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation varies — every other or every third weekend depending on need
• Floating is required within the Rehab Region, which includes Cleveland Pines, Huntersville Oaks, Jesse Helms, Sardis Oaks, and Stanly Manor — candidates not agreeable to floating should not apply
• EMR: Epic
• IV pump: Alaris; medication dispensing: Omnicell

Requirements

• Active LPN license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 18 months of experience in a SNF/LTC rehab facility
• Most recent experience must be within the last year
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency in trach management, foley care, wound care and dressing changes, IV starts/management, and tube feedings
• Minimum 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year required for consideration
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
• Orientation consists of 2 days of departmental training; trach management refresher provided during orientation
• Supported by Nursing Leadership, an Admin Nurse (who handles admissions of approximately 1–2 per day), HCTs, Therapies, and Case Management
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Scrub color for LPNs is ceil blue
• Free parking available on site
• Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
