American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN for a skilled nursing facility in Albemarle, NC, requiring 18+ months of SNF/LTC experience and BLS certification for 12-hour night shifts.

Details

• Work in a 90-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF)
• Serves short-term and long-term patients recovering from illness, injury, or accident, including diagnoses such as stroke, amputation, neurological disorders, and post-joint replacement; no memory care
• LPN patient ratio is 1:18–20 on days and 1:26 on nights
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation varies, approximately every other or every third weekend
• Floating required within the Rehab Region, which includes Cleveland Pines, Huntersville Oaks, Jesse Helms, Sardis Oaks, and Stanly Manor — candidates must be willing to float or should not apply
• EMR: Epic
• IV pump: Alaris; medication dispensing: Omnicell

Requirements

• Current LPN license required if applicable
• Minimum 18 months of experience in a SNF or LTC/Rehab facility
• Most recent experience must be within the last year
• Current BLS certification required
• Proficiency in trach management, Foley care, wound care and dressing changes, IV starts and management, and tube feedings
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate's permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• Supervised by nursing leadership, with support from an admin nurse who handles admissions (approximately 1–2 per day), HCT, therapies, and case management
• Trach management refresher provided during orientation
• Orientation includes 2 days of departmental training
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Scrub color for LPNs: ceil blue
• Free parking on-site
• First-time travelers are not preferred
• Former employees who held a permanent position must have been separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year before being eligible
