American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with neurosurgery experience for a travel assignment in a Level I Trauma Center OR.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting at a Level I Trauma Center with 26 OR beds
• Neurosurgery-focused role requiring competency with complex spine deformity cases, brain surgery including MVM and brain aneurysm procedures
• Preferred experience includes General, GU/GYN, Ortho Trauma, Ortho Joints, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, and Endovascular cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Equipment includes Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive robotic surgical systems
• EMR: Epic
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
• Weekend rotation of 1 in 4
• Call requirements include one overnight trauma call (11 PM – 7 AM); specialty team call (Neuro, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Ortho) scheduled per team rules, with neuro call expected between 50–150 hours per 8-week block
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience scrubbing neurosurgery cases
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• CST certification required
• Robotic surgical experience required
• Proficiency with Stryker instruments, Airo CT navigation, and O-arm navigation required
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Teal scrubs are issued by the facility
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different bill rate; local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Candidates may be floated between facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this prior to consideration
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
