American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU/PICU experience and L&D background for a night shift, every-weekend position at a children's hospital in Indiana.

Details

• Position is based in a NICU at a children's hospital, with floating to PICU and some Pediatric Acute Care
• Home unit (NICU, PICU, or Peds) will be assigned upon arrival and may be adjusted based on facility need
• Primary work will be in Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday (every weekend required)
• Charting is performed in Cerner (experience required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Indiana state RT license or Compact license required prior to start
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP
• PALS preferred
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of NICU experience required
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required; experience at a Level 1 adult facility may also be considered
• NICU or PICU experience required
• L&D experience required
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• All certifications must be AHA or RQI and current at time of consideration
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must be comfortable with and aware of the every-weekend shift requirement prior to applying
• NRP certification can be obtained after an offer is extended, as placement in L&D is determined by the facility
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is expected
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Former permanent or PRN employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
