American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic Intermediate Care (IMC) position at a large academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and IMC/PCU background.

Details

• Surgical/Urology/Thoracic Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) within a large academic medical center (500+ bed facility)
• Multi-level care unit serving adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care patients
• Continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced patient monitoring required
• Pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care provided on the unit
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Floating required to areas of like skill set within 11 West (IMC and Med/Surg levels)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
• IMC/PCU experience required with surgical patient population
• Dysrhythmia management experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed facility) required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
• Candidates with prior travel assignments (1–2) are preferred
