American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position at a pediatric Level I trauma hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years CVOR experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Perioperative services CVOR unit in a 300-bed pediatric hospital with 16 OR beds
• Level I trauma hospital setting
• Primary patient population is pediatric (ages 0–18), with occasional adult cases possible
• Surgical specialties include cardiovascular, eyes (cataracts, vitrectomies, retina), general, ortho, neuro, ENT, urology, plastics, and burns
• 10-hour day shifts (0630–1700); days worked during the week will vary based on unit need — a block schedule is not available
• Four 10-hour shifts per week with days off on a rotational basis
• Weekend call is required on a rotating basis per a 6-week staff schedule; weekend call spans Saturday 0630 through Monday 0630 (48-hour call period)
• May be required to work late to complete ongoing cases
• Floating is required to any service except cardiac and GI, based on unit need and nurse competency

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years CVOR experience required
• Minimum of 2 years pediatric OR experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level I trauma hospital or comparable setting required
• Complete COVID-19 vaccine series or a valid exemption required by start date — no exceptions
