American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Tech (Surgical Services) for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and cardiac call availability.

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• CVOR Tech position within the Cardiovascular OR unit
• Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours (7:00–15:30)
• Cardiac call and weekend work required
• Charting system: Epic
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Tech experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not eligible for this position
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered
• Candidates must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility during the contract
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
