American Traveler is seeking a Psychiatric RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Springdale, AR, requiring at least 1 year of behavioral health experience and an active AR or compact RN license.

• Adult Mental Health (Behavioral Health) unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AR state or compact (multistate) RN license required
• Current BLS certification required — no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• SAMA (Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression) certification required; may be completed at the facility if not already obtained
• Minimum 1 year of recent Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license required
• US Social Security Number required

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care to adult psychiatric patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates patient care responsibilities appropriately based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
