Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring ARRT certification and at least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in Washington state
• General Radiology department with 4 X-ray rooms, 4 portable units, and 2 fluoroscopy rooms
• Procedures include portable X-rays, departmental X-rays, and ED X-rays, with an average of 20–50 studies per day
• No floating required — assignment is limited to the X-ray department only
• In-house radiologist on-site from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; off-site radiologist coverage after hours
• Uses McKesson PACS and Epic EMR
• Equipment includes GE, Siemens, and Shimadzu
• 12-hour day shifts, Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with minimal call
• Candidate will not work alone on this shift — other X-ray techs are present

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of X-ray experience; experience in a larger, fast-paced hospital setting preferred
• Active ARRT (R) certification required — pending certifications will not be accepted
• Active WA state DOH imaging license required in hand at time of consideration — pending licenses will not be accepted; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• COVID vaccination required
• Radiation badge required — candidate's employer is responsible for providing it, as the facility does not supply one
• A valid driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of approximately 2 hours with the manager followed by 2 weeks of on-unit staff orientation
• Day and swing shift leads are available; no overnight lead on-site
• Facility provides scrubs
• Candidates who have been directly employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through an outside agency will be considered
