American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Sacramento, CA, requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of experience with IR and recovery care.

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
• Role includes time in a recovery setting with patients from deep organ biopsy and angiography cases
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Rotating weekends required
• Variable on-call nights and weekends required
• 26-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant IR nursing experience required
• Experience with recovery care for deep organ biopsy and angiography cases (PACU experience) highly preferred
• IR or Cath Lab experience preferred
• Proficiency operating complex stationary and mobile diagnostic imaging equipment
• 2 supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assists physicians during a variety of diagnostic and guidance imaging procedures
• Prepares patients for invasive procedures and provides education on the procedure, medications, contrast media, and associated biological effects
• Ensures routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental timeframes
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved per contract
