American Traveler is hiring a travel RN - Case Manager for an acute care hospital position in Alaska, requiring Epic proficiency, acute care experience, and an active AK RN license in hand.

Details

• Works in the Case Management unit of a 407-bed acute care Magnet-designated hospital
• Level II Trauma Center recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
• 5x8 day shift schedule; shift start times range from 0700–0830 depending on assignment
• Every other weekend required, or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule
• Floating required between all facilities within the state to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting performed in Epic
• Parking is provided at no cost
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active Alaska RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Accredited Case Manager (ACM) certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Acute care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must also meet the 50-mile radius requirement
• Travelers who refuse to float between facilities within the state may be subject to assignment termination
• RTO is limited to one request of 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application, as post-offer requests may be denied
