American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licensure is not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Up to 4 days of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated per manager's discretion
• Only 1 holiday accommodation can be approved per contract
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing to be absent for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
