American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching facility
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for a minimum of 6 months
• RTO is subject to manager discretion, with a maximum of 4 days unless otherwise arranged
• Only one holiday off can be approved per assignment
