American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI Lab position at an acute care hospital in California, requiring Epic proficiency and conscious sedation experience.

Details

• Work in the GI Lab of a 277-bed acute care hospital
• Patient care involves GI/endoscopy procedures requiring conscious sedation administration and monitoring
• Schedule: Days, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• No weekend requirements
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating between like units within the facility is required
• Floating between all facilities within the state may also be required
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required — pending licenses not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of GI/endoscopy RN experience required
• Demonstrated experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Scrubs provided for this unit (OR/Endo/PACU receive facility-provided scrubs)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application — requests made after submission or offer may be denied
• Block schedule requests are accommodated at manager's discretion
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
